SANDY SPRINGS EDUCATION FORCE RECEIVES GRANT FROM STATE FARM INSURANCE


June 1, 2010 - SANDY SPRINGS, GA - Sandy Springs Education Force (SSEF) received a $2500 Good Neighborhood Citizenship Grant from State Farm Insurance on May 26, 2010.  Fran Farias, Owner/Agent for State Farm Insurance, presented Irene Schweiger, Executive Director of SSEF, with a check to offset costs for the SSEF After School Program at Sandy Springs Charter Middle School.

SSEF receives grant from State Farm Insurance

The grant will support the after school program at Sandy Springs Charter Middle School, and will be used to pay for the teachers' time to participate with the after school students.  The grant, called the "Good Neighbor Citizenship Grant", was written to support education initiatives in Sandy Springs, GA. As Fran Farias presented the grant to SSEF, she noted, "SSEF is a non-profit educational organization working to help Sandy Springs at-risk youth realize their full potential, not only in the classroom but also through learning experiences that contribute to personal development."

Fran Farias coordinated the grant for SSEF with other participating State Farm agents who supported this grant effort: Lisa Dobbs, Rita Martin, Janet Thomas, Ron Sprouse, David Chamblee, Scott Ralston, Eileen Brewster, Dale Massey, and Jori Kasher.
