Director's
Notebook
We
are very excited to be
implementing our third year of
programs for our Sandy Springs
public school students when
school begins in August.
We have spent the summer
meeting with our principals to
be sure that our programs
coordinate with their school
strategic plans and goals and
thus meet the needs of our
students. Once again, we
will deliver results -oriented
programs which will make a
difference in the lives of so
many students. We hope
that you will help us through
donations of your time, talent
and treasures. Please
visit our website to see the
many opportunities for you to
become involved with SSEF.
Together, we are a powerful
force in creating a world
class education for all of our
students in Sandy Springs. We
so look forward to working
with all of you.
With
kindest regards,
Irene

Springs Education Force is
proud to announce our Second

Springs Charter High School,
students will explore hands-on
robotic exhibitions. From

SSEF
and the Community Action
Center (CAC) are excited to be
partnering together in two
important programs for school
supplies.
Teachers'
Supply Closet: Thanks to
all the teachers who completed
the SSEF survey last winter,
we are piloting a program that
will enable teachers in the
Sandy Springs Public schools
to obtain needed supplies for
their classroom that otherwise
would have been purchased from
their own pockets. The Fall
Closet will be opened in
August. Teachers can go to http://www.sandyspringseducationforce.org/
and follow the links on the
home page to place your order.
You will be called to pick up
your order when it is ready.
Please note that the Closet is
run on donations so we will do
our best to meet your needs.
Watch our website for future
Closet dates.
Student
Backpacks:The Community
Action Center will again
distribute backpacks filled with
school supplies to students who
are in need and are unable to
provide for themselves. The CAC
will serve public schools within
Sandy Springs and Dunwoody.
Backpacks will be filled
according to the grade specific
supply list. Again, teachers
should go to http://www.sandyspringseducationforce.org/
and follow the links on the home
page to place your backpack
request. CAC will do its best to
make sure that the items needed
are available.
