The Teacher’s Supply Closet, a collaboration of Sandy Springs Education Force (SSEF) and the Community Assistance Center (CAC), is available for teachers to request required classroom supplies for their economically disadvantaged students. Volunteers pack supplies and deliver the orders.
During the 2024-25 school year, Sandy Springs Education Force provided over $28K in supplies, including over $22K of in-kind donations, benefiting 8,291 students. These donations also saved 740 hours of teacher time that would be needed to purchase supplies themselves.
We rely on in-kind donations to support this impactful Teacher’s Supply Closet program that we run in conjunction with the Community Assistance Center. We also host many work or other team groups to help sort and distribute supplies.
If you or your organization, group or team would like to host a school supply drive for Sandy Springs Education Force, we are happy to provide collection bins, customized fliers, images sized for social media featuring your information and any other materials to help you publicize your school supply drive benefiting Sandy Springs Education Force.
This is a blurb you may wish to use in your marketing materials:
Please remember that we are only collecting new school supplies. We are not able to use office desk supplies – staplers, tape dispensers, desk accessories, hole punches, file folders, hanging folders or teacher resources.
It may be most convenient to purchase donations from our wish lists:
