Footprints For The Future 5K Trots Into Sandy Springs

The second annual Footprints for the Future 5K will soon wind through the heart of Sandy Springs.
The race, which will benefit the Sandy Springs Education Force, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14 at Lake Forrest Elementary School.
The 5K, a certified Peachtree Road Race qualifier, will include chip timing and a professional finish line provided by Georgia Multisports Productions. The event also includes a pre-race warm-up led by fitness professionals and live entertainment including a DJ, vendor booths and a one-mile Family Fun Run.
T-shirts and swag bags with giveaways from sponsors and community supporters will be given to all race participants.
Registration will begin at 7 a.m. and the 5K will start at 8 a.m. The Family Fun Run gets underway at 9 a.m. Registration fees are as follows:
Adult (13 and over)
- $25 before Oct. 31
- $30 before Nov. 7
- $35 same day (CASH ONLY)
Child (12 and under)
- $10 before Oct. 31
- $12 before Nov. 7
- $15 same day (CASH ONLY)

‘Footprints’ Run Raises Money For Sandy Springs Education Force

Sandy Springs Education Force is organizing its inaugural Footprints for the Future 5K and Family Fun Run.
The run, set for Saturday, Nov. 8 at Lake Forest Elementary School, will raise funds to support the organization’s “mission of inspiring and supporting all Sandy Springs public school students to graduate and pursue productive lives beyond high school by providing educational and enrichment programs,” according to its website.
Check-in will start at 7 am and the 5K starts at 8 am. The 1K Family Fun Run will get underway at 9 am. For adults (including children 13 and older), the registration fee is $25 before Oct. 24; $30 before Oct. 31; and $35 on race day. The fee for children is $10 before Oct. 24; $12 before Oct. 31; and $15 on race day.
Participants should note that race-day registration will be taken only in the form of cash.
